ADAC in JV with Helios SinoGulf

Abu Dhabi Airports Company (ADAC) has announced that it has inked a joint venture agreement with Helios SinoGulf Property Development.

The company has entered into this JV in order to develop a logistics and business park under free zone regulation adjacent to Al Ain International Airport.

According to sources, the first phase of development will attract an investment of Dh900 million, which is slated to be finalized by fiscal 2010-end.

Rolls Royce gets $1 billion order from Gulf Air

Rolls-Royce PLC has announced that it has inked an order worth $1 billion order from aviation major Gulf Air.

The order has been signed to supply engines for the Bahrain-based airline’s new Airbus A330 long-haul aircraft.

According to sources, British aircraft engine manufacturer will supply Trent 700EP engines to power 20 Airbus A330 aircraft, with deliveries beginning in 2012.

EgyptAir signs OnAir deal

EgyptAir has announced that the company has inked an agreement with OnAir.

The company has signed the arrangement to install full Mobile OnAir and Internet OnAir inflight passenger communications services on its fleet of twin-aisle Airbus 330-300 aircraft.

The sources said that through theses services, EgyptAir passengers will be able to use their phones to make and receive calls, send and receive text messages and emails, and access the internet.

Emirates will add 22 weekly flights to India

Emirates airline has informed that it will soon start 22 weekly flights to India.

According to sources, adding of new flights is a further expansion of company's India operation as Emirates Airline propels itself to become one of the world's fastest-growing aviation companies.

The sources further added that Dubai-based airline will enhance flights as a support for the Indian government's ambitious growth plan to attract 100 million travellers in fiscal 2010.

Customers offered specials to 40 cities by Lufthansa

It has been learnt that special fares are being offered by Lufthansa to more than 40 interesting long-haul destinations.

Now passengers can book a round-trip flight from Dubai and Abu Dhabi to Europe for just Dh1,190.

Amsterdam, London, Paris, Copenhagen, Geneva, Prague, Rome, Venice, Vienna are also among the destinations provided under the special offer. 

flydubai teams up with Emirates Post

flydubai, Dubai's first budget airline, has announced that it has clinched a deal with Emirates Post.

Under the agreement terms, the office network of Emirates Post across the UAE will act as the carrier's selling agents, providing booking facilities, accepting payment for reservations made on-line and making or changing booking preferences.

Customers can book their travel with flydubai through its website (flydubai.com), its call centre (04 301 0800) or at their nearest Emirates Post.
