Atlantis Hotel open for public in Dubai

Today the Atlantis Hotel announced open entry for the public following the completion of a $1.5 billion (£800 million) construction project in Dubai.

The focal point of the Palm Jumerirah Island, it includes an exciting water park, pristine white beaches, world-class restaurants, spa resort and cosmopolitan boutiques.

The customers would be entertained by 25 bottlenose dolphins which have been imported under agreement from the Solomon Islands. It has however raised controversy from some animal lovers.

Half of Kor Hotel group bought by Abu Dhabi investment arm

Fifty percent stake in Los Angeles-based Kor Hotel Group has been bought by Mubadala Development Co., the Abu-Dhabi’s most active, sate investment vehicle. The news came from the corporation itself on Tuesday and the aim behind this purchase is its will to penetrate further into the global hospitality industry.

Morgans Hotel Planning to Construct New Hotel in Dubai

Morgans Hotel Group is planning to expand overseas by setting up a hotel in Dubai. The group announced its expansion plan on Friday.

Delano Dubai, which is targeted to be opened by 2012, shall be run by the boutique hotel operator, who has got the 20 year management contract extendable by 10 years twice.

Delano Dubai, will be a three building complex; It will have 200 guest rooms, 100 branded residences, bar and a spa.

Another 360 residences adjacent to the hotel shall also be set up near the hotel.

Sobha Group Buys Land to build its First Five Star Hotel in Dubai

Sobha Group, an Indian real estate developer, has acquired a piece of land in Dubai to build its first of their five star hotels. The land has been acquired on Sheikh Zayed Road.

Ajay Rajendran, Sobha Group vice-chairman stated, "Sheikh Zayed Road is the landmark business addresses in Dubai, so what better place for us to mark our entry into the hotel development and operations arena?"
