It's been about a week since Comcast acquired DreamWorks Animation (DWA) for $3.8 billion. On Wednesday, Jeffrey Katzenberg, CEO of DWA held a meeting with the employee at the studio's Glendale, California headquarter. Brian Roberts, Comcast's CEO, Steve Burke NBCUniversal's CEO, and Ron Meyer NBCU Vice Chairman also attended the meeting. The meeting gave a change to calm down the concerns of employees regarding the purchase. Most probably, things are going to continue as same before without any big shifts.
Santa Clara, California based Rovi is suing cable-TV giant Comcast for fourteen patent infringements. The news hurt its shares and at the day's close shares of Rovi noted a fifteen percent drop at $17.40.
Rovi specializes in technology that is used in most of the set top boxes. Its technology helps build electronic TV guides and which are also used in DVR and on-demand video services.
