Research In Motion (RIM) and Oman launched the new BlackBerry Bold 9900 smartphone in the Sultanate comprising a variety of multimedia applications apart from normal functions. The new models would be put on sale from Thursday onward for people.
RIM launches free cloud-based smartphone management service

Canadian manufacturer RIM has announced the launch of a free cloud-based smartphone management service, called BlackBerry Management Center, which allows users to manage multiple BlackBerry devices without making any new investment in any infrastructure or management software.
UAE's Axiom in deliver contract with Blackberry maker

This week Dubai-based Axiom Telecom is launched the UAE's first public offering for two years. A direct supply agreement is marked with BlackBerry manufacturer Research in Motion (RIM. TO).
Axiom's IPO prospectus has the non-exclusive deal listed in it. It is seen by Reuters. The validity of this is for one year from Nov. 19, however can be renewed.
Dell to replace employees’ BlackBerrys with WM 7 devices

Dell is planning to replace BlackBerry smartphones used by its employees at present with its own devices based on Windows Phone 7.
The company has decided to standardize the Phone 7 mobile operating system for 25,000 employees and will also offer an enterprise service to its partner firms to shift to the devices based on Microsoft's platform.

Research In Motion (RIM), the makers of popular Blackberry series of smartphones has acquired the popular app developer, DataViz.
DataViz is one of the largest independent makers of Exchange and Office solutions under Microsoft licenses. The company is behind the popular Documents 2 Go application that works on mobile devices such as the Palm WebOS.
