As per recent reports, it has been revealed that a renowned ovarian cancer researcher Dr. Lucy Gilbert, from the McGill University Health Centre has revealed some of the unknown facts about ovarian cancer.

The cancer is said to be lead to death as its detection is quite impossible. A number of researches have been conducted, but none of them were able to provide a good medication which can reduce the number of ovarian cancer cases.

Official figure revealed that in last 30 years there has been just 2% improvement in the number of cancer cure rate. This is now when Gilbert and team conducted a research and found that the basic foundation on which ovarian cancer is being detected is wrong, in fact its symptoms which are generally told are not true.

It would not be wrong that every known statement about eth ovarian cancer has been proved wrong. The study researchers told that till now all the researchers as well as the all other medical fraternity was tacking things related to ovarian cancer in a different tangent.

Their research has revealed that the ovarian cancer starts developing in the fallopian tubes and its two main symptoms are bloating and frequent urination. Gilbert said that earlier condition remained undiagnosed as doctors were not checking the right place of its origin.

The research that has also appeared in the journal Lancet has revealed that their study helped a woman to diagnose her ovarian cancer. This has made them announce free screenings on the island and they hope that their decision would help many women to diagnose their cancer, if they have it.

"We were barking the wrong tree. The name we got it wrong, we got the origin of ovarian cancer wrong. We got the test that we should be using for this wrong”, said Gilbert.
