It has recently been revealed in a report that Salisbury would be the site for construction of a new mental health center. As per the report, the state government in UK is going to announce today that Northern Community Mental Health Centre would be located in Salisbury.

According to the findings of the report, a mental health center has been planned to be constructed in the city so as to help people in travelling less for different treatments. It is being said by the health minister John Hill that the center would be equipped with all the required facilities that are required for various elements of mental health treatment.

The report says that the mental health center is facing a lot of challenges due to reforms introduced in national health as well as in disability sector. John Hill has also revealed that the center which has been decided to be built on Park Tce in Salisbury would highly benefit people in the northern suburbs.

It is being said that the hospital when once fully constructed and ready for operation would also be providing a walk-in service for those who need any suggestion regarding mental health issues. The hospital under National Disability Insurance Scheme would be helpful in raising funds for community managed mental health services in Victoria.

Along with it, it is also being believed to bring a major reform in the organizational context of mental health. “It is the part of the mental health service system where there is the strongest evidence of commitment to a recovery approach and of the building of skills and systems that underpin effective practice”, as per the consultation paper Community Managed Mental Health, which is an Agenda for the Future (PDF alert).
