Laundry-TabletsBizarre news, miniature laundry tablets confused with sweets, lead to several cases of poising amongst youngsters.

As per recent reports, it has been informed that colorful laundry tablets have been confused with sweets by young children and hence, even swallowed by them. As, a consequence, several cases of poisoning have been registered.

Doctors have claimed that as many as 250 cases have been so far reported in poison control centers of US. Moreover, they emphasized that these tablets are more poisonous, in comparison to typical detergent tablets and have lead to nausea and breathing problems.

Dr Kurt Kleinschmidt from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center said, "Some children have confused detergent pods such as Tide for sweets. We're not quite sure why it's happening".

However, he assured that these kids have become severely ill due to swallowing these pods, which determines that these detergent tablets are more harmful than original standard detergent.

It has been reported that such cases have been encountered after Tide, Purex and other detergent manufacturers introduced a series of different types of detergents earlier this year. Another distinct feature about these detergents was that they used single-use amount of detergent that is they were not in either liquid form or powder form.
