While there is no doubt that childhood obesity has affected countries around the world, a recent report claimed that Benicia has managed to score a lot better than other states. In comparison to the statewide average of 38%, it was found that Benicia did fairly well at 29.9%.
The report was unveiled by the California Center for Public Health Advocacy and the University of California at Los Angeles Center for Health Policy Research. The results were based on the examination of records of in excess of
250 cities.
It was claimed after tracking down the 2010 records of California Department of Education physical fitness that obesity rates vary from 11% to glaring 53%, thereby making it all the more clear that there is a lot to be done to balance the situation.
There is need for efforts to be directed in the direction which can make things all the more better for children who more or less are turning into obesity victims. It is highly required that one and all are made aware of the dire consequences of obesity so that the current situation can be improved.
While Benicia has done fairly good, it would be worth seeing what all other states would do in the time to come to deal with the crisis in hand.
