In a recent report, it has been claimed that it driving diesel cars can be risky as diesel fumes are being categorized as carcinogenic. They are tagged to be as lethal as other substances like asbestos, arsenic, mustard gas, alcohol and tobacco, which has shocked one and all.
It is no news that diesel cars are preferred more than petrol with soaring petrol prices, especially in India, and that's what is making health experts all the more concerned. There is need to some sort of action taken else it would become all the more serious for one and all in the time to come.
"Diesel is carcinogenic (cause of cancer) to those who are exposed to its fumes for a very long time. Oblivious to the health hazards, large number of people have started buying diesel cars", said Dr. Fakhruddin, Superintendent, Cancer Hospital.
There is need for people to be informed about the same so that they can make the best judgment for themselves as well as others. The sudden inclination of consumers towards diesel cars in India has certainly shocked health experts, who are warning people to keep their health and safety over and above all else they would have to face some potential consequences.
