While there is no doubt that women nowadays are trying their best to juggle between professional and personal life, even Cherie Blair is of the same view that women must not solely rely on their husbands for their living. There is need for women to shed their fears and make themselves independent.

She shared the same while speaking at Fortune Magazine’s Most Powerful Women event. She is of the view that women must not compromise on their career just to be at home. They must stand up for themselves else they would not be able to fight tough situations.

“Every woman needs to be self-sufficient and in that way you really don't have a choice – for your own satisfaction”, added the wife of the former PM, while highlighting the importance of bringing up children.

Women must build their career so that they don’t have to seek help from others all the time. With financial pressure building up, there is need for women to do their bit for themselves too.

There is need for mothers to ensure that their children are being given the required care and education for their better future. Mothers have a huge responsibility on their shoulders and that’s what they must manage.
