Findings in a recent survey have proposed that Calgary has been positioned on top of the list for being a liveable city. The findings have justified even sayings of Prime Minister Stephen Harper, who suggested the city as the biggest city of Canada.
The new Angus Reid survey revealed that the city is one which surely would attract many, due to its unending features, including ample of job opportunities. Above all it is a metropolitan city, which has no end to innovations and discoveries.
It has been reported that the results of the survey were released at the opening of the centennial celebration of the Stampede, where even Harper commented about the city. Double good news almost increased the zeal of the celebrations.
The Calgary Southwest MP asserted that if founders of Stampede would have been still alive and looked at the city and also have had a look at what advancements have been brought about in the event, they would have surely been surprised.
The founders would be proud that Stampede has been the reason behind the biggest city in the greatest country of the world.
Mario Canseco, Vice-President of Angus Reid, said, “The survey was being ready when Harper made the Calgary comment, which drew the ire of civic pride boosters in cities across Canada”.
