No Extra Premium for Scooter Riders in Medical Insurance: Cover-More

Sean-KenzieNapier man Sean Kenzie, aged 27 years was driving a scooter when a taxi van in Phuket hit him hard. His lungs got collapsed, kidney ruptured, jaw was broken and there were several injuries over his neck. He was badly knocked off and there were less chances of his survival. But all thanks to his friends and family member who with their fundraising efforts have finally saved his life. The Thailand nightmare is about to end in Kenzie’s life.

Initially, the boy was admitted to a Bangkok hospital for 10 days but since he was unable to clear the increasing medical bill amount, therefore his treatment was put on hold. The drip that was given to him was also put off by the staff last week and he was sent to a Government Hospital in Phuket. A tube was still present in his right lung which was removed later in Phuket hospital.

However, Mr. Kenzie had a travel insurance with Cover-More but following his accident, he came to know that it does not include an "extra premium" if you met an accident while riding scooters or mopeds.

The total medical bill amount in lieu of Mr. Kenzie reached $28,000 and he is honored to tell that his well-wishers succeeded in collecting an impressive amount of $21,100.
