Recently, the Hywel Dda Health Board has expressed the need of developing Community Resource Centers at Cardigan and Aberaeron. However, it is believed that the development of Community Resource Centers would call for retaining of NHS care beds.

The proposal for the development of Community Resource Centers has been published in the document under the heading “Your Health, Your Future”. For the same, a public consultation will be held for a time period of 12 weeks. Under the period, pubic will be asked to express their opinion over the proposal. Besides, people in the opposition would also be given an opportunity.

After going through the details of the proposal, Plaid Cymru’s Elin Jones AM said, “While I welcome the commitment to open Community Resource Centers at Cardigan and Aberaeron. However, questions remain regarding the provision of medical care beds at these new centers”.

It is believed that the opening of the Center would allow people to get their care at their own community. Jones has asked the public to contribute in the public consultation period to help the authorities to come up with the best Center. It is believed that the center would prove vital services to the patients at their own community centers.
