Moon around, heavy rains, pleasant weather! But what after that? This dull, humid weather is always an enemy of hairs; makes them weak from roots, more prone to breakage, itchy scalp and that shine, gloss, bounce completely lost; total dull, damaged hair!
But there’s a solution to everything, so don’t be disheartened. These experts have loads of advices for such hair, which even include basic homemade solutions ranging from using easily available vinegar and fenugreek (methi) seeds.
Experts suggest that due to humidity, the head precipitates in excess, thus making the scalp oily. “Oil and sweat secretions tend to stick to hair and scalp and attracts grime and pollutants in the air. So one needs to shampoo hair more frequently, especially if hair is oily”, renowned beauty expert Shahnaz Husain said.
She recommends that the shampoo one is using should contain natural ingredients including shikakai, reetha, brahmi, amla and henna. However, a major question that arises is won’t hair spoil, if they are washed so frequently.
Hair stylist Renee Malik suggests that it is not the case always. However, the best way is to use a mild shampoo with a conditioner that suits one’s hair type. Itchy scalp is considered as a symptom of unhealthy hair, so one should get hair spa treatment or hair mask.
