Australian Cereal Manufacturers Gather to Promote Product Benefits

Australian-CerealA plan to unite all the biggest breakfast cereal manufacturers of Australia announced by the Australian Food and Grocery Council (AFGC) recently, as per a recent report, is an attempt to raise awareness regarding benefits offered by breakfast cereals.

The aim is to promote the health benefits as well as bring enhancement in the understanding of consumers. It has been told by AFGC Chief Executive Gary Dawson that the information to be spread would all be evidence-based as well as practical.

As per the findings, Carman’s Fine Foods, Kellogg’s Australia, Sanitarium, Popina Foods as well as Freedom Foods and Nestlé Australia would be the members of the Forum. All these producers work for local markets of the nation as well as use Australian grown grain only.

The industry on a whole employs some 3000 people, including a majority from rural and regional suburbs. It is being said consumers as well as stakeholders will be called for a positive dialogue by the forum. Also, all advantages would be explained to them along with correction of misinformation.

Dawson affirmed, “Through continued education, the ABCMF aims to improve consumers understanding of the important role that breakfast cereal can play as part of a healthy, balanced diet”.
