Was that really a mistake or an intentional hurt? The news is talking about the disabled mother, who was denied sitting with her family during the 2012 Paralympic Games just because she was in a wheelchair.
Ms. Beth Davis-Hofbauer actually runs a company of making craft boxes for children. Her feelings were terribly hurt when she was refused by a staff member at the games to sit with her family following which she raised a petition and called the Games organizers, LOCOG, to change the so-called ticketing policy, according to which only one person is allowed to accompany a disabled one.
The petition has now turned into a campaign and as a big shock to all; the campaign has started gathering thousands of supporters with the petition having 33,847 signatures by 12:45 p. m. ET on Friday.
Clearing its side following the charges by the disabled woman, LOCOG issued a statement and confirmed that there is no such policy and what all happened what just a mistake of a probably improperly trained staff.
But despite all the clearings made by LOCOG and even after being allowed to sit with her family, Ms. Davis-Hofbauer has decided to continue with her campaign as she has received similar complaints by many other people too.
