Gradually improving conditions of the economic market has led to rise in consumer confidence in Kuwait according to the latest MasterCard Worldwide Index of Consumer Confidence Survey. There is a widespread optimism among the business community that can enhance business activities in the country in next six months.
Consumer confidence, which turned neural in past due to global slowdown, now stands at 70.9 from 49.5 six months ago, indicating optimism in the market. People are, apparently, hopeful of improvement in regular income, quality of life, stock market and overall business scenario.
The MasterCard Worldwide Index(TM) of Consumer Confidence survey is known for its credibility as a rigorous procedure is adopted for preparing the index. It is one of the most comprehensive and longest running survey, known for very appropriate market observations.
The survey from the Asia/Pacific markets started in 1993 and Middle-East and African markets were included in 2004 bringing total markets in the survey to twenty-four.
The survey is prepared based on five economic factors including Employment, the Economy, Regular Income, Stock Market and Quality of Life by collecting data from personal, telephone and Computer Aided Telephone interviews.
