As per the Edelman annual Global Trust Barometer Survey, the world has the highest trust in the UAE's government and banks. The survey has included UAE for the first time.
It has been revealed by the poll of 'opinion formers' within the UAE that the trust in government was 67%.
The people had even more trust in UAE banks, which was at 75%, as compared to levels as low as 29 percent in the US and 19 percent in Germany.
Most Western countries were found to have low trust in media, while UAE had it higher. The survey claimed that the nation saw technology as the most trusted industry.
Ben Morton, General Manager of Edelman Middle East and Africa, said, "While global trust in business is up, it remains fragile. The recent short-term actions by companies are largely seen as reactions to the crisis."
The survey by Edelman has displayed for the first time that not only quality and services of products and services, but trust and transparency are also important to corporate image.
The most trusted institutions among a number of nations were non-government organizations, even when the figure in the UAE was low at 45 percent.
