The 7th Annual Doha Jewellery and Watches Exhibition which would be held from 16 to 21 at the Qatar International Exhibition Center will see more than 250 exhibitors and 20,000 visitors.

Chairman of Qatar Tourism Authority (QTA), Ahmed Al Nuaimi told that this year that over 30 new exhibitors have signed up, in addition to the impressive list of returning exhibitors.

Al Nuaimi told that the size of the present year's exhibition would be bigger than last year's, with an increase in space area to cover 15,000sqm of the exhibition hall.

"The continued expansion of our event is a testament to the economic strength of Qatar despite the ongoing global economic recession, and the lasting appeal of an event that brings to Doha the world's finest collections."

Swarovski, Vacherin Constantin, Salvatore Ferragamo and Fendi are some of the new exhibitors on the list.

The exhibition would be inaugurated by the Prime Minister and Foreign Minister H E Sheikh Hamad bin Jassem bin Jabor Al Thani.
