Gov. Jerry Brown Suffers from Prostate Cancer

Jerry-BrownProstate cancer is a commonly known cancer amongst men and affects tens of thousands of men each year. Wednesday, it was told by the administration of Gov. Jerry Brown that he also is suffering from the disease and is under rehabilitation these days.

However, the condition is localized as they have told and his work would not suffer with the same. It has been told that he has been working along with undergoing treatment for his cancer. His oncologist from the University of California, San Francisco, has informed that currently he is receiving radiation.

The treatment is being expected to be completed by January 7 week. And good news is that this form of cancer responds well to cure and moreover, Brown's disease is in its initial stage.

The report finds that a procedure was received by Brown in April 2011. However, the then cure was for his skin cancer in his nose. Additional information about Brown was not provided by officials apart from what was in a written statement.

"Fortunately, this is early-stage, which is being treated with a short course of conventional radiotherapy. The prognosis is excellent, and there are not expected to be any significant side effects", Eric Small, the doctor, affirmed.
