Court Asks for Fresh Report on Raju’s Health

RamaLinga_RajuNizam Institute of Medical Sciences is asked to submit a fresh report on the state of health of the main culprit B Ramalinga Raju in the multi-crore Satyam scam.

The first report on the same did not satisfy the court, hence it asked for a second one. The medical report did not mention that for how long Raju will be treated as an in-patient.

Nims Director is asked to file a detailed report mentioning the currents status of Raju’s physical condition, after he failed to appear before the court as he was getting treatment for Hepatitis C at Nims.

Professor and Head of Gastroenterology Department of Nims Dr. Ajit Kumar today managed to file a report before the court. He said, “The antiviral treatment has to be continued by all possible ways and means as feasible... else we may lose the opportunity to treat Hepatitis C which may end up in life threatening liver failure or liver cancer in future”.

It was also shared that Raju needed a close supervision as he can get melancholic on out-patient treatment. The doctor also added that the patient has also developed `Neutropenia’ and `Thrombocytopenia’.

Doctor said, “We have already initiated steps to manage these complications and there are some visible signs of improvement too in form of `Neutropenia’, but the platelets have not yet shown any improvement”.
