Dubai police denies Qatar’s interference in the Mabhouh murder case

Dahi-KhalfanDubai's police Chief, Lieutenant-General Dahi Khalfan has said that the Qatar has nothing to do with the case pertaining to the murder of Mahmoud Mabhouh, one of the leading members of the military wing of Hamas. He was reportedly killed by some unknown people in his hotel room in Dubai on January 20. Mabhouh was denied entry in Dubai and he used fake name Rubai to enter in the country.

The Police Chief denied any pressure and said that it would never interest to indulge in war of words with media and wants the law to take its course of action. Terming the media reports very unfortunate and baseless, Khalfan told, "I can't even imagine that the Emir of Qatar would like the pressure to be eased on Israel on the above issue."

Khalfan challenged Hamas to divulge the identity of the Palestinian who revealed the news of Mabhouh's Dubai travel plans to the Israeli spy agency-Mossad. He said that Hamas is never involved in the investigations and the country is not going to do that by pledging its sovereignty.
