Uninor to expand in Andhra Pradesh adding 550 sitesOn Monday, Uninor, one of India's fastest growing telecom operators announced a major expansion of its operations in the Andhra Pradesh region.

Uninor will incorporate an additional 550 network sites in Andhra Pradesh from next month. This will take the total in the State to 3,300 sites, covering 2,700 towns and villages. It will also boost the number of retail points to 60,000 from the current 53,000. It has a network of total 330 distributors.

On Monday announcing the expansion plan here, Satish Kannan Uninor's Circle Business Head for Andhra Pradesh said the company would launch Carnival, a three-month promotional activity in the State. He said, "We will engage customers through fun games, activities and freebies."

"We as a company want to consolidate on the good work that we have done in this circle. Uninor is all set to invest and expand its operations in the region. With this network expansion, several new towns and villages will also start getting the state's most affordable mobile tariffs." He added.

The special `Extravaganza' will be held in mini clusters across the circle, over a period of three months.

A Uninor release said, with this expansion and a unique concept of carnival, the benefits of the Sabse Sasta operator reach many new subscribers in the circle.
