Beats Music launches a native iPad app

Beats Music launches a native iPad appClose on the heels of teasing the launch of a native iPad application - via Twitter - on Wednesday, on-demand music streaming service Beats Music released version 2.0 of its app on the App Store on Thursday.

Although the app is now available as a free download, Beats Music itself requires a monthly subscription fee of $9.99.

As was being speculated, the updated 2.0 version of the Beats Music app underscores a 'universal' iOS app, which brings native support of Beats Music for the Apple iPad. The app is compatible with the iPad as well as the iPad Mini tablets, along with the iPhone and iPod Touch.

Beats Music's newly-launched native iPad app exploits the advantage of the tablet's bigger screen. Containing all the unique features of the iPhone version -  including Just for You, the Sentence, My Library, Find It, and an offline mode -, the iPad version also gives the users the ability to benefit from dedicated support for both portrait and landscape modes.

Noting that the universal 2.0 version of the app also includes a "stylish and sophisticated interface" which has been especially created for the iPad, Beats Music said that the updated version also includes a 'Find Your Friends' feature which enables iPhone, iPod touch and iPad users to find and follow their Twitter friends on Beats Music.
