Sprint Corp to Trim 452 Jobs at Kansas Headquarters; More Cuts to come in Following WeeksOn Friday, the third biggest wireless carrier, Sprint Corp. announced that the company has planned to reduce 452 jobs in their headquarters which is in Kansas Overland Park.

The carrier says that there are going to be more job trimmings apart from the headquarters which right now are being reviewed.

Earlier, Sprint had said that there was a possibility of trimming jobs of 'several' key position the payroll. However the number was large and hundreds of employees were handed over the pink slip with the approaching holidays.

The carrier agrees that reducing the large number of employees does not work in their favour. However the company says that they need to trim costs in every possible way, mainly to maintain the trends followed by competitors Verizon and AT&T. The other employees working with the carrier fear that their names might be the next in the list.

Sprint stated to the Kansas Department of Commerce, that they would "anticipate additional reduction activity in the next few weeks." This year earlier the carrier had cut down five hundred jobs after release of a report of reorganization came from the company.
