Raised Full Year Earnings Forecast and Reported a Better –Than – Expected Q3 ResultActivision Blizzard Inc, the videogame maker lifted its forecast for the full-year earnings for 2014 as the company posted better-than-expected results for the third-quarter. The positive results can be greatly attributed to the burly sales of "Destiny" and also to the rising numbers of subscribers for "World of Warcraft".

On Tuesday, in the afterhours on Nasdaq, the shares of the company closed at $19.95.

"Skylanders" and "Diablo" are also much liked games from Activision, the Santa Monica, California based company. The company spiked its non-GAAP revenue forecast for 2014, to $4.8 billion. It said that the non-GAAP earnings are expected to be $1.35 per share which is a raised figure from its previously announced$1.29 per share. The company has earlier announced a $4.7 billion forecast in non-GAAP revenue.

"Destiny" is the sci-fi shooter game from Activision, which had created a record by reaching a sales figure of $500 million on the day when it was launched in September. The game is expected to achieve strong sales even through this holiday season and further on. According to the company the number of subscribers for "World of Warcraft" in this quarter increased to 7.4 million or more as compared to the 6.8 million noted during the previous quarter.
