Reports Say Sprint Corp and Amazon.com, are Planning to Buy Some of the RadioShack StoresReportedly, Sprint Corp. and Amazon. com Inc are planning to buy some stores of the struggling electronics retailer RadioShack after it files for bankruptcy.

Reports say that Seattle-based Amazon is considering using the stores of RadioShack as showcases for the hardware merchandise of the company and also likely centres for pickup and drop-off for its online customers.

According to sources, Sprint is holding talks with RadioShack about co-branding a few stores. The rest of the Radio Shack stores will be shut down.

The New York Stock Exchange said on Monday, that it has started the process of delisting RadioShack as the company failed to submit a proposed business plan that addresses its non-compliance with the listing standards set by the exchange.

Last month the NYSE had warned RadioShack for the second time in one year saying that the company had forty five days to submit a business plan.

Once upon a time, the electronics retailer was a great place to shop for the engineers and innovators for merchandise that ranged from a vacuum tube speaker to the first bulk-produced personal computer.

But in the long run the company failed to alter itself with the changing demands and also failed to turn itself into a destination where the mobile phone hunters could shop from. It lost the race to its rivals like Wal-Mart Stores Inc and Amazon. com Inc.
