As per the media reports, six contracts has been awarded to Engineering group WorleyParsons with expected total revenue of more than $US150 million ($A187.8 million) for a gas project in Abu Dhabi.

It was specified by Worley that it had been appointed by Abu Dhabi Gas Industries Ltd, Abu Dhabi Marine Operating Company and Abu Dhabi Gas Liquefaction Company Ltd with the aim to manage six engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contractors for the Integrated Gas Development project.

On Monday, the company said via a statement, "WorleyParsons' engagement will span from the EPC pre-award stage through to the commissioning and performance testing and handover of the facilities to operations."

The basic motive of the project is to lift Abu Dhabi's offshore gas production by 1 billion cubic feet a day.
