Hisense and TCL comes up with Cheap 4K TV Options

The consumer electronics show or the CES 2016 in Las Vegas this week is likely to see some low dollar 4K HDR TVs. Hisense Co Ltd, the Chinese electronics manufacturer is topping the show with 43-inch 4K sets for as low as $400. The company's 50-inch model is priced at $550 and both are smart TVs.

The company is offering a 50-inch H8 series 4K TV priced at $600, just $50 more than the $550 H7 series set. It also includes features like local dimming.

The economically priced 4K TV sets include support for HDR, UHD up-scaling and motion smoothing. However, the local dimming feature is missing in them. It is a technology which allows dimming certain areas of the screen to make the colours deeper.

TCL Corporation, another Chinese manufacturer of electronic goods has plans of launching two series of 4K Roku TVs. Those will be available in 43, 50, 55 and 65 inch sizes. According to a representative from the company, the 55-inch model would cost around $600. That makes it cheaper than the55-inch H7 model from Hisense which is available at $650.

Other companies will also come up with different options that might attract attention.
