Dubai launches ‘Dubai Future Accelerators’ initiative
Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of Dubai Executive Council, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum has announced the launch of the Dubai Future Accelerators that will help enable rapid deployment of transformative technologies in the city.
The Dubai Future Acceleratorsinitiative, which is the largest accelerator for government services in the world, is in line with the directives from His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. The accelerators are programmes and integrated systems aimed at helping entrepreneurs and innovators to convert their ideas into successful companies.
Sheikh Hamdan said in a statement, "Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid's vision is the engine to achieve our goals and transform the UAE into the global capital to explore and create the future."
Officials said that the new initiative will help develop new transformative technologies in Dubai by connecting world's most innovative companies and the senior government officials. Dubai Future Accelerators is a part of the larger "Dubai Future Agenda' aimed at developing 21st century solutions and initiatives across the world.
The Dubai Future Agenda' brings together top international companies and entrepreneurs to address seven key "21st century opportunities" including action of cutting-edge technologies like AI and robotics, genomics, 3D printing, distributed ledgers, biomimicry and biotechnology, as well as new business models.
