UAE TV measurement consulting task bagged by Capgemini

Capgemini has been appointed by the National Media Council (NMC) and the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) to handle the initial phase of UAE’s new TV audience measurement initiative.

To commence a TV ratings system in the country, Capgemini will do the groundwork in training, beginning with an eight-week effort to benchmark international best practices, charge the local market through research and stakeholder interviews, and recognize the finest technology for the task.

As per the NMC and TRA, “In January that they were looking for an outside company to oversee the service, and expressed a preference for people meter-based measurement.” 

According to the NMC and TRA, Capgemini knocked off the competition from seven other companies to win the contract.
