A new medical centre has been launched by Daman National Health Insurance in Abu Dhabi.
It has appeared that patients would be offered healthcare support by Daman, in which German firm Munich Re has a 20% stake, for conditions such as chronic diabetes and obesity.
Such healthcare support is essentially the core of Munich Re Health's platform, together with disease management for chronic conditions and case management for acute conditions.
It was revealed by CEO of Munich Health, Wolfgang Strassl that a combination of global experience and local knowledge is being provided by the firm in order to offer consumers with good healthcare services.
It is being predicted that an increased number of people in the UAE will become prone to diabetes and obesity in the coming times, and this is the reason why Daman has specifically targeted these two ailments.
The patients can take advantage of telephone counseling and assistance coordinating the necessary therapy.
As per Daman's CEO Michael Bitzer, the firm, which has opened just eight weeks back, has already received plentiful instances of optimistic feedback from the work it is doing in Abu Dhabi.
