Mohammad Salem Al Ka’abi hospitalised

Mohammad-Salem-Al-KaabiMohammad Salem Al Ka'abi, known as the old man of Wadi Al Qoor, has gone into a coma. He is now in his nineties and got admitted to the Dubai Hospital after having a chest infection last Wednesday. As usual, His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE as well as the Ruler of Dubai stood by him at the hospital.

Shaikh Mohammad visited the hospital on Tuesday to meet Al Ka'abi and instructed the medical staff to take special care of him. Shaikh Mohammad had shared a special bond with Al Ka'abi ever since the Vice-President had met him in Ras Al Khaimah back in 2008 while on one of his tours.

Back then Shaikh Mohammad had asked Al Ka'abi to order him like he was his father and him his son. It goes to show that the two shared a unique father-son relationship. The Vice-President had even ordered for a villa to be built for Al Ka'abi for he had always cherished that meeting he had had with the leader. Shaikh Mohammad eventually met the old man of Wadi Al Qoor after his wife breathed her last in 2009.
