Chances of Pakistan-NZ One-day series to shift to Malaysia

The Pakistan Cricket Board would likely finalize Malaysia as the venue for the Pakistan's One-day series with New Zealand this year, in case talks for holding the series in Abu Dhabi and Dubai fail.

PCB chairman Ejaz Butt, who shall hold the , said," He was confident about a positive outcome to the financial agreement that is yet to be reached. And if for some reason the talks are not fruitful then we have shortlisted Malaysia as an alternate venue for the One-day series."

Earlier, Butt had visited Malaysia to inspect the facilities available for the cricket series. Javed Miandad has been given the responsibility for the preparations for the series in Malaysia, in case they are held there.

Butt said: "What is decided is that we will host New Zealand for four One-Day Internationals and a twenty20 match but the dates will only be finalised once the venues are confirmed."

During November and December, the Test series shall be held at Dunedin, Wellington and Napier in New Zealand; where as the venues for the One-day series remain unannounced.
