Talk with Orchids to Support Their Growth, Says Eddie Cross
The Grafton District Orchid Society's Autumn Show, with more than 200 premium specimens, has succeeded to grab the attention of a number of admirers who were enthusiastic to know more about the orchids.
The Secretary of the Grafton District Orchid Society, Joy Jones, claimed that the flower exhibition has imparted a nice impression on the visitors even the judges were impressed with the event organization and strength of the completion along with a wide range of displayed orchids.
Orchid is one of the world’s most beautiful flowers which is available in many colors and shapes and out of those , the organized autumn show has witnessed the presence of cattleyas, dendrobiums, and phalaenopsis. Floral shapes, color consistency, clean and spotless foliages were a few of the parameters, on which the wining plants were judged. The orchids grown by the local cultivators are can be purchased from the display counter with a start price of $8.
Meanwhile, the Reserve Champion at the Bundaberg Orchid Society’s annual Autumn Show, Eddie Cross, has suggested talking to Orchid’s in order to support their growth. He credited the championship for his Vanda Bay Midnight orchid while Maryborough’s John and Narelle Hoffman have claimed the Grand Champion prize.
