Qatar International Petroleum Marketing major, also known as Tasweeq, has decided to acquire selling crude oil stake in the coming fiscal from Qatar Petroleum (QP).

The sources informed that Tasweeq was bring into existence in fiscal 2007 in order to sell all Qatari refined oil products, liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) as well as condensate. From January it will also start marketing crude oil.

Qatar is one of OPEC's smallest oil producers. Qatar Marine as well as Qatar Land are the main crude grades it produces.

Tasweeq was established as the sole export seller of Regulated Products manufactured in Qatar.
