Alumco Group, the aluminium contractor, has announced that it has bagged a major contract in order to provide aluminium facades to Meena Plaza Project in Abu Dhabi.

The sources informed that the project is situated in Port Zayed and is developed by Tamouh.

The project has been designed by KDI Architects and Zelan Holding of Malaysia is the main contractor.

The contract secured by Alumco Group (UAE branch) will see the setting up of 36,000 sq m of curtain walls and glazing. Work on the four towers commenced in March 2008 and will be finalized by September 2010.

Additionally, the project will have special design effects with a spider atrium and skylight at the podium, as well as an inclined curved curtain wall facade.
