For The Prevention of SIDS

SIDSThere has been the launch of a new study in Redlands. This is about the sleeping posture and positions of infants. For the same a number of new mums have been called to join in.

The survey is being conducted by a charity organization from Redlands. They are here for the effective analysis of how a child should sleep, in order from proper rest and comfort, and so that he/ she isn't harmed. There is need for this drive so that there is eradication of sudden deaths in infants. This might be due to a number of reasons. It may be due to the child swallowing his own saliva and choking, due to muscular twisting or due to airway disruptions.

There is need for the reason for the death of a number of infants to be found. There is going to be survey to find out how many children sleep on their stomach, and how many on their backs. This shall help the organization in issuing effective guidelines to new parents on how to care of their bundle of joy.

The baby is so delicate and fragile, that he/ she need to be dealt with immense care and precaution. There is need for parents to understand this and help their kids enjoy a restful sleep that helps them grow.

There is also need to take a close look at the mattress the baby sleeps on. The tests are going to be conducted on babies between the age group of 4-10 months.

It has further been added by the experts from the University of Queensland, that all the information collected through this survey is going to remain confidential.
