It has been revealed in recent reports that experts are of the view that there is need for the detection of COPD so that the risk of cancer can be slashed. They are of the view that one leads to another and there should be more opportunities given for the detection COPD, with the aid of spirometry, so that the disease can be detected on time.
It was on the event of the World COPD day that this urge was made to the people of the vicinity. The aim of people was to basically increase the awareness levels of people about this condition, so that they can get themselves tested and rule out the possibility of the condition.
The quality of life of the patient is being deteriorated when there is lack of PCT investment and there is harm being done due to undermining the COPD treatment.
It was revealed by the lead author of the study that the finding suggest that the tests of COPD together with that of lung cancer might be really effective for determining if a person has Lung Cancer, and this could be the early start of treatment. Early treatment would ensure cure.
'This research highlights the need for routine lung function tests, known as spirometry, to help improve quality of life and identify other conditions that could be present”, she added further.
It was revealed by Professor Klaus Rabe, from the European Respiratory Society that on the occasion of the World COPD day, they would also encourage the European Governments to take positive steps for the improvement of detection techniques which would be able to help in the early detection of diseases that might tend to occur, and devastate a person’s life, if not treated at the right time.
