Agreement between Cougar, Qld Government

In the South Burnett region of south-east Queensland, Cougar Energy says that over the company's underground coal gasification (UCG) project an agreement has been reached with the Queensland Government.
Despite government tests clearing the project of contaminating bores, the company's UCG plant at Kingaroy remains shut.

Acting president of the Pharmaceutical Society of Australia (PSA), Grant Kardachi said that the risk of abuse can be limited by direct involvement of pharmacists in the sale of codeine-ibuprofen analgesics.
Pharmacists have been given a chance to spread awareness about the risks that take place due to medication through the rescheduling of codeine-based products as Schedule 3 drugs since May 1.
Childhood cancer survivors can get cancer again

A recent study has stated that there are chances of dying from cancer are higher among children who survive cancer and there are possibilities of dying early of other cause.
About 900 cancer survivors, who got treatment at the Sydney Children's Hospital, from 1972 to 1999, were included in the study.

Tar balls from Goa beaches to be sent to oil refineries

Authorities in Goa have decided to send the slimy tar balls collected from various beaches in Goa will be sent to Oil refineries in order to avoid further pollution caused by disposing them on an open field.
Nilkant Halarnkar, Goa Tourism minister expressed that “truck loads of tar balls collected from several beaches in Goa will be sent to refineries instead of disposing them off in open fields or elsewhere.”
