Mideast's First Robotic Car Park opened by Dubai

Wednesday, in the Middle East, the first robotic car parking garage opened at an office complex in Dubai.

Astonishingly, upto 765 vehicles can be accommodated by the automated garage at Ibn Batuta Gate in Jebel Ali, which makes it one of the world's biggest multi-storey automatic car parks.

The first ever garage of several large-scale robotic garages has been planned by Asteco Property Management and its partner Seven Tides in an attempt to fulfill the requirements for parking in the United Arab Emirates.

Trucks to be built by UAE's Aabar, German Firms

Monday saw United Arab Emirates' Aabar Investments PJSC saying that it has signed a deal with Algeria and five German companies, including MAN Ferrostaal AG and Daimler AG, to make all-terrain vehicles and trucks in North Africa.

MAN Ferrostaal said in a separate statement that finally the agreement will produce a joint-venture company between Aabar and MAN Ferrostaal to manage the plants in Algeria.

Performance PR unveils office in Dubai

Well-known public relations company, Performance PR, which serves sports and automotives, recently declared that it has officially unveiled its first regional office in Dubai.

According to a statement by Noel Ebdon, Managing Director of Performance PR Middle East, the London-based agency is looking for opportunities in the region, as the automotive and sports sectors have shown notable growth.

Mercedes-Benz opens largest facility in UAE

The world's largest Mercedes-Benz facility has been established in Abu Dhabi, underlining the importance of the emirate for the German automaker.

According to sources, the largest mixed-use Mercedes-Benz facility in the world will particularly place Abu Dhabi, which recently bought 9.1% stake in Daimler AG, on the global map for cutting edge automotive centres.

The sources further added that group's Emirates Motor Company (EMC) is the sole distributor for Mercedes-Benz cars in Abu Dhabi.
