McDonald's Corp. in recent years has tried many new things to bring a turnaround in its business. This time the burger chain is trying out new sizes of it's most famous 'Big Mac'.

Oak Brook, Illinois based McDonald's is now testing bigger and smaller versions of its Big Mac in chosen markets in the U. S. The food behemoth says it is testing "Grand Mac" and "Mac Jr.", in areas like central Ohio and the Dallas to see the reaction of its customers and then will think about on a nationwide rollout.

McDonald's once the most popular fast food giant is making great efforts to win back its reputation by making constant changes. The company is trying to adapt to different markets to win hearts of the consumers who had left for other food chains or were worried by several food safety related issued which surfaced last year.

McDonald's in recent months introduced its all-day breakfast and a loyalty program. They are even trying to bring in the traditional French pastries.

Last year McDonald's tested its all-day breakfast menu which turned to be a great success in the U. S markets and that's motivating other food chains to try out the option.

Irvine, California based Taco Bell and Lake-Forest California based Del Taco, the fast food restaurant chains have come up with a new breakfast menu.

To win the heart of the Americans through their wallets, on Thursday Taco Bell announced its most recent move with a new $1 breakfast menu.

McDonald's is gaining not only in the US market but in China too, keeping Yum Brand's KFC and Pizza Hut behind.

Both the fast food chains are trying to gain on the Chinese market which was hit by food safety scandals some years back. But it appears that McDonald's is catching up faster than its rivals. An analysis of sales data in same stores suggests McDonald's is keeping a greater pace.
