Netflix-Comcast Alliance Could Signal End of Years of Bickering

Recently, news surfaced that digital streaming giant Netflix is teaming up with Comcast after the two companies have fought for years.

The companies have reached a deal to offer the internet television service on Comcast's X1 set-top boxes later in the year. That's going to smudge the lines which distinguish cable TV from the Internet video services.

Network Capital Funding Corp. the direct home loan lender is a privately owned, non-bank financial institution which was founded in California in 2002.

It specializes in making mortgage loans available directly to customers for buying used or new homes, refinancing their existing mortgages and for home improvement.

It was among the few direct home lenders that survived the financial crisis that hit the country in 2008. Currently it operates in twenty five states.

Cavium Inc Agrees to Acquire QLogic Corp

San Jose, California based Cavium Inc. has agreed to buy QLogic Corp, the maker of switches, adapters and  networking products.

The acquisition deal has an enterprise value of approximately $1 billion and will boost the semiconductor product's company's data-center and storage business. It is estimated to increase the adjusted earnings per share of 2017 by a range of 60 to 70 cents.

UnitedHealth Leaving Golden State’s Covered California

The biggest health insurer in America, UnitedHealth is abandoning several U. S markets and is planning to sell full plans in only three of the U. S states, Virginia , Nevada and New York.

In April, without giving out much detail, the insurer announced that it is planning to ditch most but a "handful" among the thirty six statewide individual insurance marketplaces in which it already operates and sells Affordable Care Act plans.

Airbnb Introduces a New Feature for Lodging Complaints

There could be an easier way to report noisy Airbnb guests in your neighborhood as Tuesday, the company launched a new feature which will allow the neighbors of Airbnb hosts to lodge complaints with the company.

The San Francisco, California based short-term rental company which faces some regulation concerns in certain cities, is allowing to lodge grievances under categories like, noise, party, or disturbance; personal safety or criminal activity ; common spaces (parking, trash, etc.); general concerns with neighbors hosting.

Nvidia Corporation’s OEM and IP Business Declined in the Last Quarter

In the last quarter, all businesses of Santa Clara, California based Nvidia, the American technology company showed progress except its OEM and IP business. Nvidia's businesses range from designs graphics processing units aimed at the gaming market and chip units for mobile computing as well as automotive market.

The business dropped thirteen percent on the quarter on quarter basis with a twenty one percent year on year drop.

The company's management also made it clear that they did not expect its OEM and IP to grow in the quarter ahead.
