ConAgra Foods Recall Frozen Chicken and Beef Products with Possible Presence of Metal Fragments

Chicago, Illinois headquartered ConAgra Foods, the American packaged foods company is recalling close to 200,000 pounds of meat which might be contaminated with a metal fragments  which can be dangerous if ingested.

The unwanted ingredients on the recalled products are "curled, malleable and shiny". According to the U.S Department of Agriculture, the metal may be embedded in the sauce inside the frozen packages.

High likelihood of drug abuse among children who were jailed, study

A new study has said that children, who went through a juvenile detention center, are much more likely to get linked to drug and alcohol abuse and dependency.

The North-western Medicine study found that the rate of drug and alcohol abuse was high among children, who were once held at Cook County's juvenile detention center. they researchers found that more than than 90 percent of males and nearly 80 percent of females were found to be with substance abuse disorder" at some point in their lives.

Boeing Will Trim Production Rate of 747-8 from September

Chicago based Boeing Company said it will trim its production rate of 747-8 cargo plane to half starting from September. The action comes into effect due to a slump in the air-freight business. The 747-8 comes in two versions, passenger and freighter and is the largest among its jets. Softness in the cargo market is driving this cut and in September the company will decrease its rate of production or six per year or one per alternate month.
