GlaxoSmithKline Recalls Grand-Pa 38

Grand-Pa-38It is being said by GlaxoSmithKline, a pharmaceutical company, that a recall of the Grand-Pa headache powder, which is still being provided in some areas, would have no major effect on KwaZulu-Natal, as per a recent report.

As per the report by police heads, one illegal factory in the country is involved in manufacturing supplying the product, which is not original. It is being said that the factory has been smartly using the batch numbers of the products, which have been found being supplied in Gauteng and Limpopo.

Though, the numbers 309339 and 314020 remain the same, the fake products have different wrong information such as wrong spellings. "For us, consumer safety is paramount and because we can't vouch for this product and they haven't used high safety or quality control, we are recalling those two batch numbers”, said Dave Thomas, who is GlaxoSmithKline’s spokesman.

It has further been found in the report that the company has been asking anyone finding any of the batch numbers on Grand-Pa 38s to call their customer care helpline. While people having products with any other batch numbers need not to worry, the team says, those with the mentioned ones should call at 0800 118274.
