Britain Witnesses Hospital Care Week

HospitalHospice Care Week is a yearly affair in the UK. Many hospitals take part in the same and this time also, more than 100 hospitals will be taking part in the nationwide awareness effort.

The event runs for a week and will start from tomorrow and will continue till Sunday, October 14. One among many hospitals is Garden House Hospice, which is in Letchworth GC. Its General Manager Jenny Lupton said, “This Hospice Care Week, we want to tell everyone in North Hertfordshire that your local hospice is here for you, and that our care is tailored to the needs”.

Main aim of the event is to raise awareness about palliative care. Complete information is being provided to people about what exactly is palliative care and about those who provide such care.

In order to do the same, information stands will be put in a number of hospitals. So that people can go through them and know about the palliative care. A number of activities take place during the week; some of the activities are visiting nearby hospitals and having Spiritual Lunchtimes at the hospitals. The week is special for hospitals staff members, as it gives a chance to them to get close to people.
