Aishwarya Rai-Bachchan on a Mission to Educate Pregnant Ladies on AIDSIndian actor Aishwarya Rai-Bachchan is now all set to spread awareness among pregnant women about the deadly AIDS disease.

She visited Mumbai hospitals on December 1, the World AIDS Day. She interacted with HIV-positive pregnant women at the facilities who were getting advantage from HIV services.

She spoke to them about the disease, its causes and prevention. Apart from that, she told them about how to deal with the disease while she asked them not to lose hope. She encouraged them and patted their backs for being bold to fight with the debilitating disease.

The 39-year-old Bollywood actress is UNAIDS International Goodwill Ambassador, who recently stepped into AIDS awareness mission targeting pregnant ladies.

In an interaction with PTI, she said the disease has medicine to cure it, however it sufferers can undergo medical treatment. "I will help break social barriers and stigmas that are attached with the disease. I will help raise awareness on issues related to stopping new HIV infections in children", added Mrs. Bachchan explaining her views on the mission.

She said she will make the people aware about the anti-retroviral treatment available for the deadly disease and educate them about how to get access to the same.
