Code-sharing pact signed by Etihad, American Airlines
A code sharing agreement has been signed by the United Arab Emirates' (UAE) national carrier, Etihad Airways, with the American Airlines. With this agreement, the travelers from the region would benefit a lot.
The airline confirmed via a statement that it will be from this week that the new agreement will come into effect. By 2nd September, Ethiad Airways will commence its first fights to Chicago.
Apart from this, the two airlines will also be able to widen their global networks, as well as those between Abu Dhabi and main cities in the US, including Washington, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Houston.
As of now, Etihad Airways flies to two destinations in North America - that is, New York in the US and Toronto in Canada.
