Dubai Aluminum inks $45 million deal with GE Energy
State-owned Dubai Aluminum Company has informed that it has signed a deal worth $45 million with GE Energy.
The seven-year deal aims to cut the cost of aluminum production and increase the reliability and overall performance of 19 GE gas turbines that power the Dubal production complex.
In addition, it will also cut harmful nitrogen oxide emissions by 15 percent.
The scope of work includes supply of parts, performance updates, repairs and field services for planned outages for the gas turbines.
Dubai Aluminium operates 19 GE gas turbines at its production facility on Dubai's outskirts. The firm has customers in 48 countries.
