Belgian bicycle maker Ahooga launches high-tech stylish Max folding e-bike

Belgium-based electric bicycle (e-bike) specialist Ahooga recently announced the availability of its newest product: the Ahooga Max, which is said to be part of the company’s efforts to change consumers’ perceptions on folding bikes.

Compact and convenient, the Ahooga Max is a folding electric two-wheeler that has specifically been designed for urban commuting. Designed in Brussels and produced in Anderlecht, the new e-bike efficiently expands the capabilities of folding bikes even further.

The Ahooga Max features a robust double-tube frame that promises not only stability but also agility. Its 20-inch wheels promise a perfect blend of mobility and control. The company claims that it has designed the new e-bike in such a way that its folding mechanism delivers a quicker as well as more efficient folding experience, requiring just a few seconds to completely fold or unfold the bike. Upon being completely folded up, the e-bike takes up merely 73 cm by 70 cm by 44 cm, which makes it really convenient to be transported in a car to some other place or to store in a small place.

The Belgian e-bike specialist states, “With its 3 seconds and compact fold, Max accompanies you through the day as you hop on and off public transport and commute to the office. Ride it, walk it, store it. Fit it into crowded trains, in your trunk or apartment. And when holidays approach, bring Max along in your car and caravan.”

Moreover, the Ahooga Max offers a variety of personalization possibilities, including eight original colours and seven two-tone variants. It also has an adjustable stem and saddle, which allow the user to adjust the two-wheeler’s ergonomics according to his/her requirements. The lighting system on the e-bike is integrated and linked to the battery, eliminating the need for USB charging. This guarantees that riders have a steady and stable source of light, even after the sun has set.

The Ahooga Max e-bike is being offered in a range of personalization options, including eight colors and seven two-tone variants. Its adjustable stem & saddle allows users to adjust the e-bike’s ergonomics according to his/her desire.

The battery-linked lighting system on the e-bike eliminates the need for USB charging. The system promises a steady & stable source of light after the sun sets. The Ahooga Max comes equipped with a front-mounted electric motor that relies on a removable 248-Wh battery pack, which comes positioned in the top tube of the bike’s frame.

The new personal electric mobility solution offers a range of 50 km (roughly 30 miles) on a single charge in eco mode. The range is sufficient for most daily commuters. Equipped with Shimano-branded Nexus 7-speed transmission system, the e-bike has been specifically
designed for city commuting.

The Ahooga Max is the latest addition to the Belgian e-bike brand’s portfolio, which previously included three separate bicycle models, viz. the Urban (an electric city bike); the Modular (a fully-equipped model); and the Pliant (a folding bike).

This premium model of the Ahooga Max costs €3,499 (approx. US$3,829). The new e-bike seems to be quite expensive, but it merits its premium rank with its sophisticated functionality, sleek design, and unparalleled expediency.
